Hmmm... Everyone mutters.. Whats this then..

Well, i woke up one morning and thought, I need a car in my life thats cheap to run, gets me from A - B and saves me money, A car thats extremely different, almost to a point where friends mock me, and family members take the micky...

So I sadly sold the Integra, as it just wasn't practical, to make room for something else..(The decision to move house, further from work also has a direct link to this purchase, also the fact that I will be starting racing soon also played a part)

So after looking around at various cars, ranging from Golf GT TDI's, Audi A2's, Brabus Roadsters & Leon Diesels I ended up going for something else..

A Little 2004 1.9 Tdi SKODA Fabia VRS............

But seriously, joking a side, for a simple car, everyday A-B its superb, and for

My mate had a red one, I was impressed at the power delivery from the engine and the cheapness to run.

Plus if you squint inside or out it looks like a Golf

I'm suprised about the Integra though as I thought they were cheap to run and quite practical.

I could roll out a whole load of old skoda jokes..........But we all know they are perfectly fine cars now. I think the Vrs is a great little car. Your decision was n`t influenced by that little Vrs that always seems to be punting round snetterton was it James?

I know someone with a chipped one. It is very nippy.

Like you say James an understated car that is quick and economical.

Also hope your decision had nothing to do with the fact that the Integra was slower than a Metro lol.

But mainly the moving further away from work, and focusing on the other halfs racing and mine.. Need to save monies..

Have seen one come up to Snett a lot, and not much keeps near it... So could still potentially be a bit of fun if required..

This is where my money will be going, need to get my ARDS, do a few events here next year, Silverstone Classic and some rounds in the Masters series with Charley in the Father in Laws new addition...FIA papers which means european events..A chance i cant refuse to miss. So grateful to be given the chance to use the car and possibly the XK also.

I've always liked the VRs, something a little different from the norm, and the best of both world with MPG and performance. Shame about the Integra, as has been said, I thought they were supposed to be cheap to run for what they are, but I'd guess you'd know better than most as you had it!
Nice to see you've got straight into modding it, should be a right laugh when it's re mapped

Intrega's are not especially cheap to run, that I know full well. Fuel economy is similar to an Impreza and part costs are pretty expensive for an 1800 normally apirated car.

I think the VRS, either in Fabia or Octavia, is a real understated performance bargain. No sense in comparing the handling on race tracks, but in every day usage I'm pretty sure that the Fabia will be a better prospect for most of the things you're looking to do.

How's the build quality mate? Supposed to be pretty good.

i really like the car james, i think its quick enough as is but a jabba sport chip should deffo be purchased

The car will put a bigger on your face after, it certainly tranformed my little VAG hatch
