A funny old week, that's for sure.

After Tan decided to put unleaded into her diesel Volvo and then drove it until, in her words, " it went funny" I needed to use Grace for daily duties. No great shakes but the new coilovers proved a bit solid on the road but at least it's enabled me to get a few more miles under the cars belt.

I noticed little oil drops wherever the car stood up; in fact I first spotted these at Mike's a fortnight ago. Another job on the list and thought no more of it. Driving home from Dereham the other night, and it was raining hard. I switched the fans on and soon started to notice that the screen wasn't clearing the way that it should and this was followed by smoke coming through the vents! Luckily we were nearly home at this point and I opened the bonnet to see one of the pipes from the radiator had split.

7.45pm Thursday night
Dead Volvo and dying GTi. Oh bollocks!

I rang Trev and we compared notes; rang SteveVR6 and he was kind enough to run around to his Brother in Laws to raid his shed. No joy.

Friday saw me getting mugged by the taxi firm,

A combination of copper grease and WD40 was generously daubed on the coilovers.........just to ensure that I can adjust the buggers when my country lane degenerates in a few months time :) With that job jobbed, it was time to........

Small downside is that I don't actually own them yet, as these have come off of my old Sierra, but they are on the Golf now, so that's a good start. Oh yeah, two are silver and two are rattle can blacked!!

Not guilty.....this was the Father in Law.

I hope not, but it may be wet on the 10th. I am on Advan 032's. Should be interesting for us all lol.
