I still don't think that this has fully sunk in yet. I look at those pictures and it's like i'm reading someone else's project. We never set out to do this, we always talked about something like this from day one, but more a case of fantasining than planning.

Even before we started track days Alan had always dreamed of having an RS500 touring car, but accepted that he would never be able to afford one or at least insure one. But the dream never left him.

We first met Gordon back in 2006 when we first built Herbie and from that day he has tried to get us to go this route but we always we wouldn't, because for us it was more important to follow our dreams rather than the crowd.

So why have we gone against our beliefs and gone down the yb route. Simple. Which dream was the stonger, having our own home built engine or competing at the sharpe end of the pack. No competition....we're both dangerously competative so much so that we can't even go for a friendly game of pool together.....

The Time Attack isn't something that we do because we have oddles of money, it's something we do because motorsport is a passion and to us this is our motorsport, it's what we do and as in any motorsport if you are made an offer of help you take it with open arms.

This is nothing short of a dream coming together. A dream that has tested our friendship at times, a dream that we both shared but never believed would happen.

Ever more looking forward to 2011.
