2011 Grand Prix. A Euro trip

Post by Stuart »

I fancy a bit of a Euro trip next year for the GP

I am not too bothered about which one really as Belgium, Turkey, Hungary and Germany are all options.

From what I've read about Spa, it's reasonably cheap, easy to get to and the atmosphere is supposed to be about as good as it gets.

Turkey is cheaper but a flight instead of a drive (pros and cons) cheaper than Spa but unsure of the track atmosphere etc.

Hungary is reckoned to be cheaper still, flights instead of a drive once again, cracking atmosphere by all accounts.

Germany has the obvious benefits of location and facilities but it's dearer.

My thoughts are to get about 5+ people together and split costs, whether they are all jumping in my Volvo, hiring a minibus or flying. Obviously extras like camping, diesel, beer will be split up amongst the group.

Thoughts?

I am happy to organise this once it's relevant but I will want non-refundable deposits well in advance of the time

I am also interested, but can't commit as yet due to financial constraints (Pension changes, pay cut and a speculated 20% reduction in staff numbers)

No need for any commitments at this point. More a case of ' I'm going so does anyone else want to come along', a bit like my first Ring trip.
