new to the forum. Sprint in the East advice please

I was directed to you via PistonHeads when I was looking for advice about sprinting with Borough 19 or anyone else in the East.

I currently compete in a Midget 1500 in the MGCC championship but, living in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comNorwich</st1:City>, am getting tired of the travel.

I'm looking for a new series to enter, either in my Midget (mildly modified but still standard class) or in my 2000 Boxster S (bog standard). In the future I could change car and I realise that neither car is likely to be class competitive (they both, for example, are hindered by being at the bottom end of a capacity class). For now, though, I'm sticking with these two.

I have been a memeber of B19 for some time but have never competed with them. I guess I'm asking how well the classes these cars would go in are supported and which cars regularly compete in those classes. I have tried to interrogate the B19 resulats but it is difficult to gauge the class numbers and the regularity of people turning up.

Hi Chris

Welcome on board

Being one of the sprinters that is having a year off, I can vouch for B19's decent standard and number of entries. I would guess that the Boxster would be the better supported class, but that's only based on the classes last year; not sure about this one. Your Boxster S should be great fun to sprint; having done a few track days in that model, their natural balance and superb corner exit speed should suit sprints very well.

In terms of advice regarding B19, blacky on here is about your best bet. He sprints an Evo 6 with them and the MLR, so he should be a little more insightful than me.

Myself and Logan (Blacky) are regular sprinters with borough 19..

They are a well turned out, well organised sprint with varying tracks suited to different vehicles..

I have only started this sprinting malarky this year, but Im enjoying it thus far.

Get your self along to an event, the next is on the 11th (next sunday) @ Debden.
I wont be there, but Im sure lots will be.

Hethel 'lotus test track' is coming up soon and that's well worth a visit, i'v just had an email to say regs are now out, this one in the past has filled up quickly so best get an entry in to avoid disapointment
