Today is D.Day

i will be picking the car up from Eddy and i'll finally be back on the road. It turns out that the "rev3" gearbox that i was sold is infact a rev1, how i got to know this was when Eddy was fitting the gearbox on the car he noticed it was a mechanical speedo rather than electronic. so after scanning forums for answers on how to remedy this situation in time with the speedo issue i came across some posts about gear ratios. Now according to IMOC i'm either going to have standard ratios like i already had before, or shorter ones

so when i pick the old girl up later i'll soon know if it has short ratios or not

Well ive just come back from Eddys and i'm still grinning

Not only is the car now working again with no crunching/whirring, but the speedo is now up and working too and the biggest thing thats made me giggle, it's a close ratio box

all in all it's good to have it back

so tomorrow i'll sort out the knackered battery and give the old girl a good clean up. big thanks to Eddy for doing a quick turn around and providing a top notch service

but unfortunatley, we're going to have to wait until october for that

im letting the car have a good long running in period just to make double sure the box is okay

[facepalm] so today i have a lovely ride out to pettits petting farm, enjoyed every minute of it.

all was fine until i came back into thefthood and i could hear my scilencer rattling!

ffs when is this saga ever going to end? so thats something to look at tomorrow, hopefully it's still in its warrenty, will have to check that monday [/facepalm]
