I can vouch that it goes well on track, had a few good scraps at Snett with Scott.

Good power Scott.

Finally got it back together
Have tidied it up a bit under the engine bay

also treated it to new lower suspension arms, outer cv joints and gaiters, new hoses, new harder turbo bolts, ported manifold, new race f series brake pads, new ap disks, another hub, gear knob!
I also rebuilt the gearbox replaced syncros, now have differant 3rd and 4th gears, and re-shimmed -was a bit of a nightmare as it wasn't right first time so I had to do it it again :(
Lightened/balenced flywheel -more because the paddle cluch had worn it badly.
Touch would it seems ok

There's a few quid there then :)
Good to see you back on track Scott. Do you have any more work planned or are you ready to come out to play now?

amd power runs

Post by tomcat »

I thought Id give the tomcat a power run to see if its still making good power before trackday

I was pretty happy with the result car felt strong right through the range, they actually hit the rev limiter on both runs
Figures are down a bit on last figures but might be rr being more accurate.
run 1 was 13-14psi, run 2 at 18psi I could have gone higher on boost but thought it was better to leave it at my normal settings.
