With Ford Fair on the horizon and track time booked we still have alot to do, we needed to get our figures out. So this weekend was spent doing some finishing touches to jobs already done like finish up tidying the wiring, silicone the rear wing feet etc. Another area we wanted to look at was the rear track, Which needed to be wider.

After trying the 10mm spacers then fitting 2 10mm spacers we easily decided to go with 20mm spacers. We used 2x 10mm spacers as the 20mm spacers we have needed to be pushed (hammered) into the wheel and we didn't want to do that before being sure as getting them back out would have been a nightmare:smash:

Longer wheel studs to accommodate the spacers.

Wheels now fill the arches:driving:

Still need to sort the suspension and roll the front arches.

Now doesn't that look better? :D Good work, I'm about to do a stud conversion on Grace. I hope it goes as easily as yours looked.

what i did mate to get the bolts out was to put a old wheel nut on and hammer that that way not to damage the threads.

to pull the the bolts thru mate again use the spare wheel nut, pack the space between nut and carrier with metal pipe and tighten it this will drag the bolt thru.

Spent the day measuring up the car for all the graphics so that we can get them sent off to Alan's cousin who will be cutting them for us. In total it took 4 hours just to lay up the car:frown:

Alan started off by laying on the stripes. We used masking tape for where all the graphics, stripes and words will go.

Next he drew, free hand, the cats.

Once that was done I then carefully cut them

Next step was to stick them in postion on the car

The last stage was to measure everything, and it turns out that we will need 7.5m of stripping.

As a guide here is the design that Alan originally did.

That 'Cat' on the car, or the logo of the cat; is that the Street Racers logo or one of your own? I only ask as, if you have free design, have you tried looking animals in full flight? A cheetah at full speed, symbolises speed and athleticism, whereas one that is merely walking along is less overtly 'speedy'

Not a great image but a quick visual idea

The other thing; your end cap to the spoiler; have you tried turning that the other way up? It's always caught my eye and it's just occurred to me what it was that I'd noticed.

Stu. the cat is streetracers logo so we have no design input on it except the colour we use. I had not noticed anything funny about the rear wing but will be turning them around to have a look:thumbs:
