X Box 360 FUBARd?

Post by Nik »

I have a bit of a problem with the 360. When I turn it on it starts up for a few seconds and then goes all crackly (like there is interference in the TV signal) and freezes.

Anyone had this before and know of a fix for it? Does the laser need cleaning or something?

Cheers

Nik

i remember when my 1st one started doing this, all it would do is freeze, then eventually the red rings of death would happen. how old is it?? you get a 3yr warrenty if it goes to red ring of death.

you can buy lasers for them off ebay.

also do you play your games off the hardrive or off the disk? its recommended to play them off the hardrive as it prolongs the life of the console, as the disk drive spins up very fast and creates alot of heat and eventually knackers them.

That is still one of the funniest posts I have ever read.

Towel 'fix' was going to be my suggestion as well.

Several bits on the net explain it but as I don't have one I can't confirm how it works etc.
