Hose - Smaller low pipe going into expansion bottle.

Driving the car over to my parents this morning ready to drive onto autotest tonight - I've sprung a leak ... oh errr.

Stu is going to have a look in the lock up for some hose but I'm hedging my bets to see if any of you lovely mkII boys (oh and obviously mkI and mkIII boys too) ... and everyone else for that matter

.

I need a skinny pipe that connects to the bottom of the expansion bottle .. it's about 75cm's long (from memory) diameter is - errr, 1.5 maybe 2 .. so it you have a spare one or similar pipe could I nab it off you.

We have loads of piping here ben.. could cut some bits up for you and bring tonight if you cant find any??

You need to measure the diameter mate. You can get lengths of hose from Wilco etc in standard sizes that will get you going.

Cool - I'll pop back at lunch and measure it - I'll try and get to wilco .. by Benny I'll post up the measurements as soon as I've been back to car - It's parked up the road from work and not home unfortunately - plan is to come straight to track for 4:30 ..

Benny - It's external diameter is 2cm .. with a inner wall of about 3mm ... length needs to about about 70cm's .. so if you have some standard type pipe laying about - that would be awesome .. I am going to try and get to wilco.

Eddy is picking me up a new expansion bottle - as it doesn't look to be coming out of the pipe to me .. so at

Think he means 3mm wall thickness making the ID 2cm less 6mm so probably 5/8 or 1/2" hose. I will bring some of each.
