5.3 second Drag Car, a Few Photos.

Post by Miniwilliams »

Sorry for the text over them, I've not used them yet, but I thought you might like to see a few of them. It does the 1/4 mile in 5.3 secs @ nearly 280 mph.

Nice shots Matt

When does something like that run @ Santa Pod? I need to see some top level drag racing live......only ever watched it on the TV before.

You've got to do it Stu. Seeing, or should I say feeling, 2 top fuel go down the pod is mind blowing. Plus you get the chance to mingle around the pits and breath in a bit of Nitro Methane :D

I might be going to the FIA Euro Main Event which is the next bank holiday weekend 28-30th May. Failing that the FIA Euro finals is in 9-12th September. All depends on the weather, any chance of rain I usually bottle it and not bother.

Yes great pics as usual Matt.

That steering wheel does not look very comfy though lol.

Yes, top fuelers make the ground shake.

The September one sounds good Scott :)
May is proving rather hectic.

As has been said Stu, you have got to see them if only once. It is quite an experience to say the least. We stood just after the start line once and all I can say is "WOW" when they both set off at full chat it is one hell of a feeling :D
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D
