Its a shame there are not more cars in our class, its the poor chaps in the classes on their own I feel for they dont have any comparrison..

Im still enjoying my first run at this Sprinting malarky done 4 now, it is quite costly though given track time and waits between runs etc.
At the same time though it is less stressfull on the car, or so people keep telling me.?
I have managed to do some damage/breakages at each one so far!! LOL

Sprinting, as a discipline, can be great fun and great value for money. The key in my eyes is about doing this with your mates, and I guess that was Blacky's point. The year before last, the year that I won @ Cadwell ( :D  :driving: ) was probably the highlight for me, as we had loads of people out there exchanging banter, helping out with mechanical cock ups (e.g me at Cadwell, Trev at Lotus) and the competition between Blacky, Mike B, Gerry, Trev, Kim and a few others was superb. That sort of fine balance is difficult to recreate and probably I'd say that we all miss that 'high' or that buzz from times like those.

I am certainly not saying that I won't sprint again, I'm just saying that I won't sprint the Golf in its current guise on airfields. The spec of the car is morphing quick enough already so it will be finances that preclude me this year. Once the piggy bank is topped up, I'll evaluate what I want to do from there. If I sprint again, it will probably be in something like the TWMC All Circuits thing.

Since the Mini's were removed from my class by a clarification in the Blue Book, I am generally on my own in a Class, I just keep an eye on my times compared to the 2litre boys.
