funny that my mate had a pug 1.9 309 gti and i had a mk2 16v small bumper and i used to toast him, there was not much in it but the golf was definatly the faster car and he would admit that
Small one's are more juicy

Heres a little update had a good and bad day on the golf yesterday bought a new rad water pump and thermostat to fit just in case there was a blockage some where all parts came to a very reasonable

Right then the vag lives again had all the pressure tests done on the engine headgasket and compretion test and all seems spot on only thing we can put the oil into the intake down to is it was over filled.

Have been hooning around the farm no probs fingers crossed

Booked the golf in for MOT today straight through with one advisory one rear brake pipe little rusty.

Insurered now so just tax then the three things i wont to do is

1) coilovers
2) set of braided lines
3) And a little corrado brake type convertion as per TK my advisor

Before using the corrado conversion - let's say you decided on the GTi championship would it be allowed? ...

Stu sent me the regs - basically I have to return my car to the 1988 8v exterior spec - I'm stilling reading through to figure out if that means I need to return my rear brakes back to drums.

Great progress though chap.
