Old shed...haha....yours is a crackin car mate, and rare!!
I had confirmation that they will be sweeping the track this year so it should be fine.
Honington Sprint 18th April
What a cracking days motorsport! The chaps who didn't enter missed out. The course was improved from last year, and swept. I was fast and flowing and I relly enjoyed it. Even after driving 1000 miles to Scotland and back the previous 2 days.
In our class there was only 3 entries which was a shame, myself, Mark (RSSprint) and Mikey S.
The sun was shining, even had heat shimmer off the track!!
The day went well, with myself and mark very close in times, circa 2 tenths apart on the first timed run, then the 2nd timed run he hit a cone and came through the finish with it stuck under his car, and I went out to try and put in a real quick one only to just kiss a cone on the exit to the slowest chicane on the course, and to add insult to injury is was a quick lap!! Doh!
So, it came down to the last run, to which Mark put in a very good time and that ment I had to give it some. Luckily I hooked up a good lap with more time on the gas in and out of corners and braking slighty later than I had previously. The XP8 pads just seem to stop the car on a dime, I'm so impressed with them!
So, a good day out! Roll on Hethel in 2 weeks, I can't wait!
Should be some good battles with mark in his RS Sprint, which is a crackin prepared car, I'm sure he will only get quicker as he has only done 4 sprints so far. The way he was launching the car off the line was mighty impressive.
I think TK has now got competition on the 0-64ft times at Hethel if he brings the Pulsar??!!??
I need to get some practice in as i can't quite seem to hook the launches up with the 1b tyres on as yet.

I'll will vouch for the venue. It was a really good layout. I suffered a bit from apparent heat soak in the height of the sunshine when my clutch fluid appeared to get too hot and the clutch wouldn't disengage, but that aside it was a cracking day. Seemed that when i could get a clean run the car had pace to best the 2 clios in the class, although it took till the last run, when i'd cooled the car down a bit and could get some gears to post a time for the points
If the course last year was like some of the unswept perimeter roads upto the paddock i can see why it wasn't ideal, but the surface was good, even on a few of my dodgy lines. some sliding around but in a nice controlled way, no sudden change of grip
As you say Logan - roll on Hethel.
