TBH, if the shell has seen a lot of heat I wouldn't want to use it. It may look okay, but heat does funny things to metal.

I'd have left it in the hole and covered it up :D

i am sorry but the question would have to be raised as to wtf was in the bloody thing to make it burn that badly and how can it be safe in a car which is prepped for motorsport.looks like it has my old sofa in the car:smilielol5:
