Video Editing Software

Can anyone point me in the direction of some half decent 'free' video editing software...

Windows Movie Maker is pants and keeps crashing. I tried VRS but that needs an activation code to actually process the videos...

Don't think there is anything free that is not heavily crippled or just not a true video editor. You may be better off with a commercial product and at
