Marham prep with angle grinding goodness.

Post by Jon »

With Marham approaching quickly, I thought it was time to ditch the top mount interwarmer...

Before

Image

Remove bumper and wonder how the fuck to fit all those pipes etc

Image

The calm before the storm

Image

Time for some grinding

Image

And some more

Image

Surprisingly good results!

Image

A quick test fit

Image

Some bling

Image

Some more shiney bits

Image

Chuck the bumper back on and tidy under the bonnet

Image

And hey presto

Image

Bring on Marham :auto:

Mahoosive thanks to Fezza & Ady for the help and stopping me setting fire to my car when i got pissed of with the fitting :)

And I bet you giggle like a child every time you see that last photo :D

Nice work Jon; you are definitely eligible for exclusive entry into my angle grinder club  Best of luck for Marham. I would politely suggest some mesh in front of the intercooler, especially for that event. It would be a shame to get a little stone chucked up from a car that you're following down those big straights with big speeds.

Great work :)

Looks the nuts, but PLEASE protect that intercooler, be a bloody shame to have to take it all apart again!

Very nice mate. When at Marham it would be cool to take the numberplate off to maximise air flow. What are those red round things though ?

Cold air feeds to the brakes (when i get round to properly finishing them).

Thanks for the comments guys, But if it gets bashed at Marham then so be it. As long as it does it's job.
PS
It was a LOT harder than it looks on the photos! Especially grinding away one third of the bumper, One slip and....
