What a relaxing day today has been. Alan turned up at 10.00 this morning to make a start on sort the few things that the car failed it's mot for and was finished by 11.30.

1. Exhaust slightly blowing...............Patented Bart repair
2. Exhaust rubber mount missing.......Fitted
3. Both rear cailers leaking at hose...Tightened and checked
4. One headlight too high................Adjusted (hopefully down)
5. Shock absorber to hub play.........Tightened

Just had to take a picture of Bart's legendary exhaust repairs:smash:
He repaired the exhaust on my old 2.8 xr4x4 after it starting blowing on our way to silverstone for a track day. It lasted 2 years before the exhaust finally went at another point.

As it was such a nice laid back type of day I decided it was about time to do some work on Team TNT going green and trying to bring the cost of motorsport down.
Not having much luck trying to grow these though:cuss:

Big meeting

Post by pablo »

Today was the day for our big meeting with our potential new sponsor.

We had discussed several options as we had no idea what to expect, is all we Knew was that they wanted the car for a couple of days.
After an hours drive we arrived at the place and was met by the Sales Director who showed us into his office and introduced us to the Marketing Director. Thank god we had gone prepared with magazines that we've been in, designs for the car and team clothing and various other bits and pieces, basically a full portfolio of who we are and we do and have done.

After all the technical references of caliper fabrication, disc construction and brake fluid feed and bias, we then got onto the marketing aspects where we were totally in our element and were able to come back with far more than they anticipated, as they were only looking at it from the Time Attack point of view.

From our point of view we brought a lot to the table as to what we could do for them and to see the marketing director smile and nod her head was conformation that we were pressing the right buttons.

So who are they and what is the deal:D

Caparo AP Braking

They are now designing and making a prototype big brake kit set up for our car. Once this has been done they want us to go back to see it and discuss it and at the same time give us a tour of the factory. They will also be supplying us with brake fluid.

This is the company that makes the brakes for the Caparo T1:D
