I'm sure the gentleman that was just on the news was a wonderful employment candidate but I shudder to think of the knock on effect of this sort of allowance of conduct. So essentially, can I take from this that you can make up a religion and then make up a set of rules that have to be followed?

I'll start a religion called BigPower and I demand that my beliefs are allowed for. I want petrol but I won't pay more than 70p a litre. I want discretionary speed limits; tight around schools and local estates, liberal when traffic is light and when roads/conditions permit. My religion also allows my to slap the taste out of someone's mouth when they irritate me; obviously they can do the same if they are also in 'BP'

Sound fair?

I don't have a clue what you're on about but I am one

It was a bit of a farce on a census form a few years back. It did the rounds that if enough people put 'Jedi' in the 'what religion' box, the government would be forced to recognise it.

Has someone taken it a step further?

390,000 of the prats are now banging on about 'rights' and some 'gentleman' has been on Anglia news due to Southend Jobcentre slinging him out. The man concerned refused to remove his hood on the grounds of his religion, that of him being a Jedi and security evicted him.

Would have been of far more use if security had stuck a cattle prod up his arse before evicting him. Let's see whether the "force" would have helped with that!
