It is a cool little car, but Hattie and I won't miss the spinal injuries every day the roads around the fens are very bumpy!!

This car should get the award for most BP owners!!

So - even though prompted :) - here's a little update on the 'washing machine' ... it's white and noisy :) ...

So the little golf has been out to those fine fellows at APT.

General once over and all good - had to replace a view parts - new electric fan, lower ball joints, CV boot and whilst there went for new disks and pads ready for marham.

To say the car is fun, well a mix of thoughts, on the road it's not really a fast car but cornering ability for a fwd is sensational - it's currently booked in ready for full alignment at auto test next week - going to go for a 1.5 degree negative camber on the fronts and then basically she's ready for marham.

So plans - ok, I'll admit initially I was thinking buy it, track it, sell it BUT, it's actually turning out to be a very practical machine - so over the next few weeks going to repaint the interior black, floors, inner panels, door shuts - then derust and either wrap it or using coach paint roller it - I'm waiting pics of a friends car who used coach paint that has come out like a spray job :). Cheap as chips.

I have the budget to do the car in one go, but then kind of defeats the idea of a project - so going to do it slowly over the next few days - I want to see how she goes at marham then begin the 'tidy up' ... also Gareth is my co-driver so we'll see how he get's on too.

I took the GTR out for a little run yesterday after driving the golf almost daily - going from 120 bhp to 420 bhp is quite a surprise :).

The little golf some how makes you feel as if your driving a super car and gets you all excited. Your going to love it Ben I never really wanted to sell it on and was very tempted to buy it back when J mentioned selling it. Sorry I cant be much help with your questions I just done remember that long ago. It made an excellent little tool on the ring and didn’t miss a bit one suggestion would be change the power steering oil if you get the chance it’s the only issue we had whilst owning it. <o>:p></o>:p>

It has powersteering? Honestly doesn't feel like it :).... Jason fitted some rather fine coilovers (Jason remind me of the brand buddy) - I drove this car at marham a number of years ago and it was fun but did lean quite a bit - with these coilovers it's very poised.

List of improvements to be applied.

1. Full MSA Spec Cage.
2. Replace Driver Door, Passenger Door and Boot Lid.
3. Repair all body rust - underside is amazingly good.
4. Repaint interior Black
5. Fit MSA spec Fire system
6. Colour change car with either wrap or coach paint.
7. Source new bumpers and arch / trim kit
8. Fit Black Team Dynamic 1.2 Proraces

So a few minor jobs for the coming months.
