My X-Box RROD repair guide...

Post by Jon »

AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH
The dreaded RROD

Image

1st step to repair
Carefully remove the face plate...

Image

2nd step
Carefully remove both upper and lower casings. These are very fragile, So extra care is required...

Image

3rd step
Very very carefully remove the drive unit.
Remember folks, Be gentle with it...

Image

4th step
This is the important bit.
Choose your repair tool wisely! I chose this...

Image

5th step
Beat the living crap out of the poorly made worthless piece of Microsoft shite...

Image

6th step
Put it back together, And hey presto it works again.
The above method can be used on laptops, DVD players, iPhones etc etc

Image

Actually, Step 6 isn't entirely true. I went out and bought a new one :D

I'd repaired it before, So i decided to teach the bloody thing a lesson it won't forget :cuss:
What really pissed me off was that I'd just bought Bad Company 2 and as soon as i started to play the RROD appeared, Hence the damage. Made me be feel a whole lot better by beating it to death though :D

Jon, that is superb. I genuinely laughed at lot as I read your words sensing the growing tension as you detailed your screen by screen walkthrough. I would have used a grinder but I would eat my dinner with one if it wasn't so messy :)

Brilliant. Well done

Awesome, absolutely love it :D :D :D

I was going to suggest something involving a window and some throwing actions :hat:

It still needs burning, electronics fizz and pop when set on fire :coolgleamA:
