Hello aron

The only thing i do is dont just jump straight on to the circuit i always leave it about half an hour.

That way theres not so much traffic and and other people find out if its slippery and they dry the track for you if its damp.

Just take your time double check your car tyre pressures water oil.

make sure if you have ajustable damping that they are all set equal not rock hard.

I normally set them just over half and then ajust accordingly to how the car feels.

This is also going to be a learning curve for me with this new car and a circuit i have not done.

So please all wave as you pass.

all the best mike

Hmmm! Coilovers arrived this morning at 7:50 so that's me taken care of for today. Good service from Apex and Parcel Force.

I don't imagine it'll be too easy as I only have an uneven gravel drive to work on so height setting will be a case of fit, drive down the road to a flat bit, measure, drive back, adjust, take it down the road, measure..........etc.

:beatdeadhorse5: Grrr! Not looking good for me at the moment.

On Sunday I set about changing my brake pads, they were fubared. All went well except one rear nut was seized, lots of WD40 and gentle persuation later - it snapped! We spent nearly two hours drilling and hammering to remove what was left of it and eventually got the wheel off, Stud was buggered though.

The next problem, I decided to jump start the car as it had been sittting for nearly two months and had a flat battery. When it started I noticed a tractor-esque noise coming from the engine - turbo gaskets are going only two trackdays after thy were replaced (November).

As it stands I'm trying to get hold of another stud in time for the track day, as long as I can get it then my step dad will come and help me put it back together, the turbo gaskets however could present more of a problem. My mate has offered to come over Wednesday night to tighten my nuts (Ooh err missus) and see if this solves it, if not then I will either not be running, or I'll be running with no boost. As long as it cures it, I will be there, but not staying over for the night, so an early start for me I think. :nopity:
