Didn't say that I prepared the surface prior to paint, relax :)

I'll update my thread rather than pollute TNT's one further.

Would agree with that we do discuss most things......but then Bart just goes off and does what he wants:). Then he comes out with "But I thought we talked about it":banghead:

bracket onto the end of the hand brake.
however 2 hours late after fighting the car we now have a hand brake.

also fitted front grill and bumoer back on

grill with brakets fitted of an original grill i had spare

The time has come for us to stop pissing about and make a start on the important bit. The engine. I got home from work at 06.30 quick freshen up and a cup of tea and was off at 07.00 to pick Alan up then drive the 60 miles to Streetracers. Well that was the plan, we got there just after 08.30 to find it all locked up and no sign of Gordon...."You did ring him to let him know we were coming", asked Alan. "No I thought you did" I replied....bollocks, oh well I can go home to bed I thought. Alan then rang Gordon who said he was having a day off but when he found out that we were outside his unit he said he would be there in 10 mins. What a bloke......

The plan for the day was to strip the old engine down to the block, inspect everything and bring back the crank, rods, flywheel and bottom pulley ready for balancing. We had also hoped to collect the new pistons but they had not arrived. Whilst the engine is being balanced the bores will be skimmed and honed, the block will be skimmed as will the head. The crank will also be recieving a 0.25mmm grind.

Poor Alan! He's so used to working outside in the freezing cold he hasn't even noticed there's a nice, warm, workshop right behind. :)

Can't you just pinch that Evo until the engine's ready? :D

Good luck chaps! Looking good
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

in after the guy had shattered his flywheel so fitted a new one and a new organic clutch.
