1.5bar!!!
R34 ones are good for 1.15bar max and the 32/33 ones are 1bar max. Any more than that and you are seriously taking your chances (but then you know that!)

Who looks after your car?
Whereabouts are you in the UK?
Where is the oil leaking from? If it's the rear of the block near the turbo manifolds, it could be a number of things. Do you have access to ramps? A quick trip to a garage/tuner should be able to throw light on the leak I would have thought.

A guy that I knew get destoying his turbos, not a gtr but it was twin turbo'd. Went through about 5 turbos before he found the problem. The oil pipes that fed the turbo had a small part blockage in the T-piece where the pipe split into two to feed both turbos. Under normal driving the flow rate was fine, but on boost enough oil couldn't pass through the pipe hence destroyed turbo.

Blimey, 1.5bar !!

Hope you didnt lift off when the turbine went west otherwise it'll be more than just a set of turbos you#ll be needing !!

Good luck with it, but I would suggest you put the spanners down and go somewhere that knows what they're doing.

Yes, to echo previous comments it sound like you have been overboosting ceramic turbos.

Welcome to the expensive world of GTR's lol.

Either get yourself a guaranteed good secondhand set of steel units from GoFaster or GTR shop of get some proper hybrids, but they are going to cost you.

I don't think hat is your problem, but as Pablo says check your oil feel anyway.

Good luck

I was fully aware of the likely hood of loosing the ceramics and the joys and pains of GTR ownership :iagree:.

To be fair, the R34 turbos went around 1-bar, not 1.5 bar. There's no way I would be boosting these BB turbos to that as the natural play in them alone would be likely to shake the ceramics to pieces.

Time constraints now mean I am more than likely going to be forced to down spanners. I will certainly be taking it to a specialist to have a diagnosis done.

I am more than capable of carrying out most work on the car, believe me, but it looks like time is going to be an issue, therefore I may be forced to have the work done at the specialists or get rid of her, however much it pains me. My son is due to be born in 4 weeks!

Will give GoFaster a look.

Hello and welcome - 1.5 is pretty serious, lol, I run 1.1 on by N1's - why not try and get a set of those and turn down your boost!.

2530's for a grand sounds pretty good.

Didnt know they had actually been stopped - they're still listed on HKS USA site.
