How does the car feel with the mileage as it stands? I know my ITR was sold at around 50k and the engine, gearbox and suspension all felt nice and tight, but I have heard of examples with bigger numbers on the click that felt decidedly 'loose'. As this car lives, in my opinion, on feeling scalpel sharp in its response and reflexes to inputs, I guess the tautness makes or breaks the car.
What sort of consumables have you or Jamie changed recently? I mean significant bits like bushes, wishbones, clutches. I still look at these with such fond memories that I think they will be hard to beat for that sort of engaging daily drive for 4k sort of thing. I know I could also look at another M3 but that's daft, an S3 like Rob's but I'm not sure that I wouldn't kill myself in a turbo 4wd.....
One thing I do know is that I can't stomach a rusty older car; I just want to jump in and drive and start grinning very soon after I turn the key

As a daily hack its sound, and the few times ive had a little play on circuit its solid and everything feels tight still and those others at work who have driven it have said the same. I think i have just been very fortunate to purchase a very well looked after car from new, and it was insanely cheap for the age/condition.
Mileage stands at 110,000. Jamie was meticulous with its servicing, and i have continued to do so. Fully stamped up and the last major service was last month which consisted of brake fluids, clutch fluids, plugs, filters, leads and so on.
Timing belt & replacement OEM clutch at 103,000 which is still sound now, although I'm going to purchase a stage 2 clutch and have it on standby. I had the engine mounts replaced as one was worn when i purchased it and these are solid now.
Mobil 1 Oil & Filter Changed Every 3000 miles no matter what & i get it up on the ramps at work and clean it underneath a lot, especially in this weather.
She pulls nicely though all the gears, with no Vtec flat-spots either and the handling is fantastic. Not clued up on what its got but it feels like weighted power steering, throwing it round corners feels direct, hard and well balanced.
I have new suspension bushes, and will be putting these on at the same time as the coilovers, however at the last service the stock bushes were no cause for concern.
The car just makes me grin like a small child in a sweet shop everytime i drive it
For the price i paid i dont think you can beat it for value for money!
