I'd love to get the teas in and maybe even the bacon butties lol.

But i don't think i will be leaving this African hellhole until the 11th but i will keep it in mind.

Also possibly thinking of changing the car..........

Shock horror i know but with this home change come different needs when it comes to a car and as i won't be doing as many trackdays and more road miles i'm thinking of something a little less track oriented.

I'll post up a few possible candidates and see what you all think.

As stated before i'm thinking of changing my car.

The short list includes.

At the minute the BMW is favorite and would like to add a G=Power supercharger kit to it.

Second is the GT2, always loved them and should hold there money.

Third GTR, would love one but the spares pricings are putting me off big time.

I would use these for traveling Europe and include the odd trackday here or there.

What do you guys think????

GT2
all
day
long :)

M3's value will fall like a stone in the next year or so. If you tune it, that's going to get a lot worse.

GTR's are all well and good but you've already identified the spare parts prices. It would be that and the 'quality' of the thing that would make me baulk at the 50k hurdle.

At least with the Porsche you would be assured of great build quality, exclusivity and an ownership experience way beyond either of the other two, in my opinion (which is worth fuck all as I have neither the experience of driving these specific models or the requisite 50k :D )

I guess the thing for me would be to determine what you want as the priority in your investment. If it's high class travel with big performance, all three would do the job. If you're at all concerned about residuals that discounts the GTR. If you want something that is easy (ish) to sell leave it standard. Would I spend 50k on a V8 M3? Would I buy a standard V8 M3 when I already own a tuned CSL? Not a fucking prayer :D

What a lovely dilemma mate. Drive examples of each and really be honest about your gut reaction to each. A guy I used to know called Andy Toy (ex-racer and tester) saved for years to buy a GT2. He said it was the very best car he had ever driven. That would be good enough for me.

TBH

It's not going to happen just yet and i need to seriously think if i want to layout all that money.

Maybe when i get the CSL on the decent roads of southern Spain the love will come back. Just had the CSL over 3 years now and for the first time i'm looking at other cars.

For the same reasons as given above .......GT2 all day, any day!:)
What a lovely garage that would be to have a tuned CSL or a GT2 to choose from!:drool5:
Good luck with whatever you choose

Time for an update....

Didn't go to Spain, split up with the chick and haven't really used the CSL in anger since Spa last May.

Decided to sell it and it is now in the capable hands of Shimmy who is taking care of the sale whilst i'm working abroad and having fun in Thailand.

Can't wait to get a new car and try out the new Snett circuit, i have heard good things about it already.

Hit list now is 997 GT2 & Gallardo with the GT2 ontop, going to try the GT3RS also but heading for for the GT2.

Hope to catch up with the usual suspects at Snett sometime soon in the sunshine
