Minimum requirements to go sprinting?

Post by Tommy »

To all the sprint vets, I'd like to get an idea of what I need do to go sprinting in my E36 M3 Evo. After a quick scan of the AEMC 2010 sprint guidance notes I gather I need:

- MSA licence
- Timing strut
- Fuel cut off in cabin (how would this be done?)
- Ignition cut off in cabin
- Allowed to change the seat for a bucket but will be OK remaining standard along with standard seat belt

Since my car has coilovers and road tyres, what class would I enter and what kind of cars would be the competition?

Thanks

to be in road going you dont need fuel and battery cut offs
can remove carpets and replace front seats for buckets

you will need timing strut , very simple to knock up
national b non race license
Small one's are more juicy
