So silly as they have driven at least 4 MR2's entries away with thier silly rule, & no amount of asking for it to be amended has achieved anything.
The Javelin argument is that in a crash it could come loose & become a projectile/missile, the fact is it's not exactly balanced in there it's well held in & any part of the car which isn't welded on could become a projectile/missile in a crash, however this is apparently irrelevant.
I have a friend who sprints an MR2 Turbo T-bar at MSA events & they don't bat an eyelid!

If there's a change I'll let you know on here.

Take a look in the sprint section Dan, there's loads of info in there, save hijacking your thread.

No mods necessary for the roadgoing classes. Helmet, overalls, gloves, competition licence and that's about it.

And for extra safety so it doesnt fly off round the track. I've drilled two through holes to run a couple of cable ties through to secure it further :)

Very interesting Dan- I'll be keeping an eye on this. I've been thinking about a cheap video recorder for trackdays for a while now, and this could be ideal.
