Been laid up with 3 slipped discs so progress had pretty much slowed to a stop, but this week I've been doing 1/2 and hour a day just finishing off the small jobs that always get put off, so here's a few pix of progress to date:
Engine bay:

Wiring loom 90% finished:

Closeup of some of the pipework:

Front end off to make a cowl for the radiator(s):

I've already had the DTA running with the loom off the car so (fingers crossed) it should work now it's in!

Impressive stuff Chris. Sorry to hear about the back; I can sympathise to a degree having had a couple of back problems, but never 3 discs!

Fair play mate. The wiring looks like a bloody nightmare. Any idea of the completion date?

That does look a nice job.

Hope your back's soon better and you can get stuck in to get it finished, if it ever will be :D

It looks like I'll be signed off for another month or so until I get an operation, so at 1/2hr /day it should be finished next month! - my build list is only 8 things long now :D

Whether I can actually sit in it and drive it will be another question entirely though :'(

I think I've seen these at the Stoneleigh Kit car shows, lovely proportions and "face"- a pleasant change.
It must be hard being in pain and not being able to finish it how you'd like (time wise)- it'll be worth the wait judging by the quality of the workmanship and the spec.

tbh I still think the engine bay looks a little messy but there's just no space left to move things around! (especially as I've still got to fit a mahooooooosive accusump in there somewhere!) In the future I'll probably go coil on plug or remote mount the coil onto the main chassis

RE the loom, it has been made in 8ish sections,
1) the main loom in the cockpit of the car running front front to rear bulkhead and going to the GDash,
2) the engine bay main power and fuel pump loom,
3) the engine bay sensor loom for the o2, oil temp/pressure, fuel pressure and rear wheel speed sensors
4) the main engine loom
5) the coil loom (separated from the engine loom to avoid interference)
6) the front end loom to front wheel speed and brake pressure sensors
7) (project) steering wheel loom for traction control/adjustment/wet/dry & launch control
8) leads running down suspension arms to wheel speed sensors

The pictures of the car don't really do it justice (lookwise) it's like a really stunning lady in real life but photographs terribly.

The biggest problem (except for my back) is that I've got very close to finishing this project I'm already thinking about the next one!

I fitted my old accusump in the boot as I had similar space issues. As for the quest to continue to develop cars and projects; simple. You keep building them and let your mates drive them for you
