I know what you think about Evo's and BMW's; grudging respect ;)

Gerry, for what you want, I'd say a nice Stage 1-2 Evo 7 would fit the bill, nice on the road, and also good fun on track....your not going to do mega miles so servicing isn't an issue.

Your not far from MK which has a very good rated Evo specialist on the MLR, it'll give you the buzz you like with 380ish bhp and you can take it down the shops if you want. Standard Brembo's are good enough for sprinting with decent pads etc.

Downsides, clutches are expensive, and the temptation to mod it will be strong!!

Best of luck finding something suitable, will miss seeing the Dax out on circuit, always found them fun to watch at work.

Been having a little look about anyway out of interest for some already prepared cars, came accross a few little motors out there that cater for sprints/hill climbs/trackdays/sprints..

Possibly a bit small but still fun and well catered for...

Same as above but cheaper..

Another hot hatch..

Well done in shifting the Rx Gerry! Not so well done in using the scrapage grrrr......:cuss:
You must have some idea of what you would like to get? I thing both the m3 or evo would be a top choice and with the latter just think how much more interesting the sprints would be chasing down logan?:coolgleamA:

The problem with the scappage (briefly) is that it has thrown the used car market into total chaos. Because of the shortfall there is now in the cheaper end of the market ( ie; i`m now paying the same money for a 52 plate clio that i was 2 years ago but am not enjoying equal stronger residuals) There are now so few descent cheaper small cars ( under 2.5k retail) that we traders are fighting for the same few scraps that are left over while watching good cars get scrapped that would have kepted the market feed:banghead:....there is alot more to it than that, but my one finger typing means i would be here all night trying to explain!:D
Quick example.. i was going to buy back a customers 51 reg clio a couple of weeks ago, ( the car had problems but i knew what they were) but they decided to use scrappage instead- Yes on an 8 year old 51 reg!!!
Am i bitter..............................yes!:D
