Genuinely pleased for you Gerry:)
Cars certainly press buttons in us that many things can't.
I know from the grief I've had how they can nag at your sub conscious more than they should when they play up.....so I can imagine your relief.
As for replacements, at the risk of getting an online kicking, M3's take some beating, as do Evo's if you need some booooooooooooooost

Have fun hunting buddy, can't wait to see you out there again!

Spot on with the first two Rob  and exactly the sort of things I've had in mind.

I'd seriously have to eat my words with a BM though. The cars are nice but the type of driver they attract caused me to get the Impreza in the first place.

I'll just quantify that last remark by saying it's the road going 'boy' racers that piss me off as opposed to the more serious types on here :D

M3 is attractive if only to continue chasing MikeB. But the thought of chasing Logan, with similar machinery is quite inviting too. ;)

First things first though, the Dax needs to go to fund the next one.

Congratulations on moving the RX8 Gerry. I am sure Liz will be delighted with that Honda and it will serve her requirements so much more appropriately.

In terms of a replacement............well, we've been here a number of times mate :)

Are you still looking at around 10k for something road legal but focused?

Which class do you want to be competitive in for sprints? Rear wheel drive is huge fun but very difficult (for me) to be on the mark in the wet, but that's probably lack of control and skill on my part.

It's very difficult to look passed a decent Evo 7 in my opinion. Something like John Start's old one was fantastic and for Dax money, you can get an absolute belter.

Best of luck. Two down, two to go

Amen to that :)
You'd miss it all by Easter though I bet.

The only other thing to think about is the running costs. Anything NA will be cheaper to run but probably dearer to tune. All stuff you already know mate.
