another update

due to me wanting to make progress and not having a camera until now, ive missed taking photos of the body filling to the frame. So here are a couple of the frame now dustcoated in grey primer

this tube was all riddled in dents and dings, now smooth as

heres the front wheel all degreased, ive given the rim a quick buff to see what its like;

so the next step is to blacken the spokes and inner ring to match the hub and leave the outer rim in its natural silver finish.

but tbh, i would ride that about as is

heres a couple of photos of the wheel painting today;

In the photos it may look a bit shitty, but in the metal they look pretty smart in satin black

and the slight paint overspray on the rims will be taken off with a scotchbrite pad

but, i'll do the other side tomorrow and hopefully get the rear wheel all done too

Had a bit of a heartstop moment all because someone was winding me up. they said that its a kids bmx because its so small, so i was convinced at that point it was becaues it does look pretty small

but me and another colleague measured the frame up against his

Just measure the wheels Dan they should be 20" if it's a full size BMX

I had a Tuff Burner to start with and then I built my own freestyle BMX. I can't remember the name of the frame now but the bike cost me over

i had one of the chrome burners with oval tubing, 7 spoke mags, cw's. quality bike. trouble is bmx's were just too small if you were a lanky kid lol

I'd never dream of using one, I'd just have it on display or sat in the unit so I can go and look at it

They were never big enough when I was a kid, let alone now!

well this is the thing. i 'should' just be able to get away with using it. nikis brother used to ride this bike everyday to work and hes alot taller then me. but if a few people say i look like a tit on the BMX then i'll have to sell it and buy a mountain bike >_<
