Cheap run around car

Unfortunately a good friends Impreza has desided to have an engine issue, so it will be off the road for for several weeks.

So I am franticly trying to find a relaiable cheap run around for him as he has a 60 mile round trip to work.

Most things considered and around the Norwich/Norfolk area and must be MOT'd.
If you know of anything, let me know
