Thanks Gents, I'd not seen the Surrey GLS, nor the Blue Ghia with Recaro's.......

I've looked at this one
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... &logcode=p

And this one (A bit Old Skool even for me)
http://carandclassic.co.uk/car/C93690/

Both are Pinto's which is what the local engine builder/tuner has recommended, but I know learned colleagues recommend the I4 DOHC....................

Whats your intended use for a sierra then Rob? Are you looking for a track toy or just a winter play thing?

Russ, just by way of a change, I'm not as well funded as I'd like!
Whatever car I'll end up with must be a "do it all" car, hence nothing to radical.
A mate of mine runs a blue RS2000 (you might have seen it a previous Snetterton day) with a tuned Pinto, and he and another mate rave about them for being cheap bullet proof lumps.
Thats the only reason I'm shy of getting a DOHC Sierra, which would be sooooooooooo much easier. i have nt ruled one out mind, just would prefer a Pinto.

Rob i so agree! A nicely sorted 2.0 8v can be so much fun and so cheep to do! Ive had a couple of both twin cam and 8v, and as ive said before its old "sandy" the 8v that i miss. I think (from the little that ive seen) its going to be finding one, (as you`ve said) more than the costs that are going to be hard part! Good luck! i look forward to seeing what you find.:lurk5:
