Yep, was given key websites to point me where to look. Although a general google search also helped.

Back to work on Tuesday to see what my training department have to say. I have mentioned this on more than a few occasions but they repeatedly say, in as many words, 'get on with it, we're eating cakes'

One small piece of advice from a partner perspective, get Tan to move out until it's all over. It all gets very stressful :ack2:

I know how you feel Stu. I am having to an NVQ for flooring to enable me to renew my CSCS card otherwise I will not be able to get on any sites. There are no recognised reference sources for this either. I can't beleive that after 21 years experience I have to go back to f**king school (effectively) to be able to carry on doing my job. :(
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D

I'm surprised that you need an NVQ to renew your CSCS mate; first I've heard of it and I've had my CSCS and the option to renew it through 'work' without the relevant NVQ's........is that a prospective client feeding you horse shit Nik?

No, I only got the experienced workers card initially which only lasts for 1 year, then you have to do your NVQ to get the full 5 year card.

As far as I know Nik, you have a case for asking for a Skilled workers card on the grounds of your relevant trade experience.

I would add to that, that I know fuck all :)

Now, for some first hand experience, you can wade through that lot whilst abusing a bottle of something :D
