My 2.0 corsa build

Post by shane corsa »

Not to sure where to post this so feel free to move where necessary.

First thing on my list was to increase my stopping power! To begin with i had the 256mm brakes off the Cavalier GSi. Dont get me wrong these where awesome, but a set of Calibra Turbo 284mm brakes came up for sale. These are amzing on such a small car!

Whilst scrolling through the vauxhall forum trying to find some 15" 4stud steelies i stumbled across these :D So me and my brother travelled 255miles to County Durham to pick them up.

And a friend of mine kindly let me have one of his 2 stickers, he brought for his Escort RS Turbo. I thought it suited his Escort to a tee, and i love watching people trying to read it.

Will take some pictures of the car in its current state once the weather gets a bit better, and will get some of the engine when i go into work tomorow.

Nice shopping list you've got there.
A couple of points and i'm not picking faults. Your sticker has a spelling mistake "carbon fiber should be fibre". We had some graphics on our car for 6 months before someone pointed out a spelling mistake:banghead:. The other thing is, are you planning on tracking the car much if so I would think about the leather seats as depending on what you are wearing you will slide around in the seat even when strapped in.

Good looking spec you got planned there.

Who's doing the tuning for you? Courtneys?

I take it your running a redtop lump?
Got a couple of friends who are Vauxhall nuts, was surprised how quick 1 of their 2ltr corsa was!
1 of them has a standard looking Nova with a c20let lump in running silly power, is awesome once its stopped spinning!

no all work is being carried out by myself as im a mechanic by trade, where i work we do tune a few cars we have a few members cars we look after and they range from Evo's to RS Turbos, we have quite a selection of types of cars we look after, one of my two favourites has got to be the honda integra we fitted with a 2.2 stroker engine and jenvy throttle bodies, sounds awesome at 10,000rpm! also currently helping a lad out with an autograss project its a space frame with a 2.0l redtop on bike carbs should go like a bat out of hell when done! will post up some pics when i go into work
