We're back and all in one piece car safely on the drive:hurray:
Set off at 07.30 this morning an hour after I got home from work. Alan was going to be doing all the driving to allow me to have a nap on route. Joined the m6 with not a hint of snow anywhere but we were both a little worried about what lay ahead.
Alan had planned out the route the night before and committed it to memory, so we were being guided by THE HUMAN SAT NAV. After a couple of hours of travelling it was time for a pit stop
Back on the road and we were now starting to see signs of snow and it made for some stunning scenery....
The roads were clear and the going was good....until we got to his address. We had to wait for his mate to meet us as the car was at his nans house. He turned up in driving an very nice Evo VII. The drive to the car was fairly nerve racking as the roads were covered in ice and very slippery, so much so that Alan had to put car in 4wd low ratio. We were wondering how the hell we get the car out of there.
Luckily once we loaded the car they showed us another way out, but even that was still slippery as feck....
The journey back was smooth and problem free although it did feel like Alan was doing laps of the m25 as everytime i woke up we were still on it....
