Ooo, how did you get to do that? Was it through the manx motor club and did you need a license to do it? Have done the circuit so many times on a bike (on open roads), would love to do it in the scoob.

But as you say, the open road has no speed limit there, so plenty of fun can be had legally and safely if you pick a quiet time.

I used to be a member of the Porsche Club GB when I had a 911 and they arranged a 'tour' we took 200 porsches to the island for a week of speed.

Heh, maybe we could arrange a BP visit, to coincide with one of these sprints or the Manx GP or Jurby/Southern100 road races. I have pals in the bike racing fraternity who, in turn, have contacts in the Govt. depts of sport and tourism!

I have several friends on the island, one of whom has a B&B. Jurby is a great track, exceedingly fast if a little dirty. There is a brand new kart circuit there too which looks very impressive. The Southern 100 has to be one of the best bike races in the world, I actually prefer it to the full TT.
