Good day and i'm glad i popped along.
I didn't think i would get on track but after Russ remembered a friend couldn't make it cause of ill health a spot appeared.
Got on track to find it slippery to say the least. Was pleasantly surprised with the standard of driving and really thought the sticker on the back of the novice cars was a great idea.
Why the silver Exige didn't have one is beyond me.....
The track really dried out during lunch and there was loads more grip in the afternoon session. Had a good few dices on track and enjoyed my tracktime.
I remember the silver Impreza but didn't know it was you Fezza, should have come and said hello.
don't know why i did but when i came in i thought i would check my brake pads and it's a good job i did as they were pretty much had it. I got sideways Fletch to give me a second opinion and he agreed. So that was the end of that....
I manged to grab a couple of passenger laps with Lee in his AX.... WOW what a fun little car that loved everything Lee could chuck at it. I was laughing at the immense front end grip.... Flat out into around and out of Corum. That little thing must be unstoppable on a tight twisty circuit.
Also got a few laps with Jason in his freshly modded E36 and all i can say is that is one sorted track car. It was good at everything but it was the immense turn in that amazed me the most. Something that i can only dream of in the CSL at the minute.
Once the brakes are sorted it really will be a sorted track weapon.

I wasn't the only one having problems with this car then.Bealo wrote:Was pleasantly surprised with the standard of driving and really thought the sticker on the back of the novice cars was a great idea.

I was very suprised when it started to go on this corner, I wasn't even going quick. It was only Chloes second lap as passenger and it may have put her off a bit.fezza wrote:Quality!!! Well recovered!

That would have really put the missus off. I'm just glad it dried out enough to get some quick laps later on. I didn't get out much in the afternoon as my turbo, elbow and downpipe all worked loose, hence the tractor like noises. Now I've got to get it sorted by 1st Dec for Oulton Park.
I was also impressed how smoothly the day ran considering the number of cars participating, shame I couldn't stop for a beer with you all but I didn't want to leave late with my car the way it was.

Good day overall, on the whole drivers were well behaved (apart from an idiot in a MINI Cooper S) and a quite superb trackday.
