Yeah I knew about the DOT date. Not so much an issue for people running OE standard sizes as there is a large turnover/comsumption, but guys on hear running less common sizes should take care. Also the value for money side of things to consider!

Mika is a good source of info for all things tyres. A couple of years ago one of the sprint guys bought some used RE070s for his sprint Impreza. When they didn't seem to perform quite as well as expected, Kim pointed out the date code and they were four or five years old iirc.

Handy info for when buying part used track tyres.
