Ebay Timewasters!

Post by russ979 »

Evening folks!
Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on what to do with the ebay timewaisting scum?(other than beat them with a big stick!:D) My problem is i sold one of my clio`s on ebay, It has an electrical fault and was sold as having so. The idiot who won the auction left it four days before finally replying to my numerous email`s with the classic excuse of "sorry my son bid by mistake!":banghead: Now any idea`s as how i can get this ebayer as i can no longer leave negative feedback as a seller? Other people should be aware he`s a timewaister and can avoid him like the plague! He only has 4 feedback in a year of ebaying. The stupid thing is that if he had collected the car he would have got a bargain as it made five hundred quid less than it stood me in at!:( Someone on here must have some pearls of wisdom?

Don't know Russ. I use ebay a reasonable amount and never had a problem.

Now I've said that of course, :)

Can't they be reported to ebay? There must be some means of retribution other than sending 'the boys' round :D

Gerry you`ve been very lucky! Most of the people i know not just trade, but as a seller has had idiots mess them around! I stopped using ebay awhile ago due to being messed around, and only put this car on as it needed some work and thought the warts and all approach was a good way of putting off the messers! It takes a week before i can open a dispute and get my sellers fee returned. I don`t know about sending the boys round, I was thinking more a couple of tonnes of manure dumped on their drive!:D

I have had a few idiots just recently, basically open a dispute and let ebay go through the process. You get your listing fee back etc. Its all straight forward just click the pay dispute button.

I use ebay very seldom nowadays due to the type of people that use it.

I put a set of Rota wheels on the other week. Sold very quickly with BIN. No payment/contact from the scumbags though.

we trade on ebay a hell of a lot, and yes you do get time wasters - but then you get those sorts of customers where ever you trade

just report them, get your fee's back and move on - there is nothing much you can do, its a shame sellers cant leave negative feedback to timewasting buyers but never mind
