I'm have very fond memories of the old girl, you're right!
But, the Golf is quicker, does easy 10 more MPG, and is nt bio degrading before my eyes.
(Don't tell the wife, but I'd love to stick a Zetec in an old Hatch and go baiting!!)

No Russ, I got sidetracked. I need to take out the steering assembly again as there's a series of washers and spacers that just aren't right. The bolts are tight but there's still loads of play in the washers.
Electrics need re-wiring but that's nothing to do with Ford, or maybe it does as all the steering column wiring and plugs are used.
