Important to find a garage you can trust.

I took a car in for service from the garage that I bought it from and when I collected it they had done over 100 miles in it and left their jump leads and other equipment in the car, plus they had stolen the tax disc........:cuss:

I got 6 mths free tax a full refund on the service and a free full service where everything was changed and it was done whilst I stood there and watched them do it.

I still contacted the local press afterwards:rofl:

a customer of ours with a VXR showed me that link, totally nuts................

we normally get complaints that we DIDN'T test drive rather for doing it, never saw the need for a drive just because you have changed oils, etc. and give it a check-over

When my car spent a week in a certain Essex Subaru 'specialists' for re-mapping and a couple of other bits, I received a bill that had an item 'fluids.' When I querried the item I was told it was for oil as one of the guys used the car to get home and back each day. The guy lived in Northamptonshire some 90+ miles away.

That and the fact it melted a piston, half an hour into my first drive of it alerted me to the fact I was being somewhat shafted.
