M3 project

Post by mikeb »

Right here we go with the m3 only had it a month and a half thought i would leave it alone for this year collect some bits up slowly and fit them when i had a chance but oh no the internet is a bad thing just browseing turns quickly in to buying and then the parts just cry to be fitted. the car started like this.
Image
1) first thing i bought was the black kidney grilles and the black wing vents.
2) next on the list after the dreaded browsing was the csl wheels 9.5 x19 rears and 8.5 x 19 fronts with falken 452 tyres.
3) the next thing was suspension kw where first on the list but budget would have been blown so had to search for alternative,on speaking to apexi about k sport brakes mentioned to him about the suspension and he said they are now useing bc racing coilover suspension and because its a road car as well i didn;t go for the 50mm tube kit as he said it would be to harsh on the road so went for the smaller tube and at the price of

That is nice. The wheels really suit it.

I fitted the BC racing inverted coilovers to the Evo. There superb value for money and so far I can't fault them.

Thanks guys as you know the m3 is a different animal to the impreza just looking forward to getting it on a track day to find out what its actually like flat out and at what limit it will spin. The impreza was very forgivin when over the limit of driver tallent. As for sprinting going to give the porks a bit of hassle hopefully see how close i can get with not many more mods . Next mod is back box, As for the bc suspension it rides very well no noises as of yet and seems to work well . all the best mike
