Tyres for Marham

Post by mutleysfriend »

Just seeking your views on whether Marham will eat a set of R888's or would I be better off running a set of cheaper tyres?

marham is pretty hard on tyres , due to the high friction tarmac they use , but stu ran 888s last time , he,s the man to ask .
personally it depends on how hard you push in the corners as there are alot of surface changes .

yup, as Ian says, for Marham I'd use up any old crap you can lay your hands on!

Marham can be tough on tyres but I've used two cars with R888's there and both were fine after the allotted sessions. I guess the key is, as normal, watch you pressures and try not to overwork them if possible.

There's no guarantee that it will be bone dry all day in which case the grip levels, and their associated wear rates, will be lower anyway.

Hope that helps

I wondered this as well but I haven't sorted any new wheels so I'll be running r888's.

I have my AVS wheels siting in the garage with some nearly shot Yoko's on if anyone needs a set to rip to bits for a nominal fee. :)
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D
