Following some 'issues' at the ring.. ie cracked discs as well as cracked headers, flamage/melting on the fan unit and fan mounting points.

New discs ....

AP Discs fitted onto the K Sport bells. Thanks to Paul at Zen for sorting out the supply of the parts :thumb:

Few other shiny bits arrived today so will spend some time this week getting them on and tested before posting any info ... ;)

I assume that you'll be doing TA again next year. Will you be staying in club class or moving up to club pro?

Pablo - I will be staying in club challenge. There is no way I can compete with the stripped out race cars in club pro with my daily driver. Being 300bhp down on them and heavier would mean i would need to be some kind of driving god to be able to stand any chance. I may get asked to jump up to club pro but I cannot see how they would justify that on the basis that it is a club car.

Who knows what the future holds ... ?

Looking very nice and extremely purposeful Dunk. How near is it to no longer being useable on the road as a daily hack?

Cheers Gerry.

Its still very useable, drove to Elvington and back last weekend at about 27mpg (used exactly the same amount of fuel as Julian in his 09 STi). Did Newcastle and back a couple of times earlier in the month too. Speed humps are ok if approached gingerly  Lack of stereo makes it a bit dull on long trips though. Done almost 3000 miles since the engine build now.

i see you sold yours at the right time with a cracked liner appearing for the new owner :o

Cracked liner is a real shock. I'm waiting for Area 52 to reply to my email asking if they'll replace it FOC. I paid an extra
