i know, thats one of the things that pissed me off, they spend loads of money on a flashy advert and build up a reputation as being the best, but there's no moderation it seems :(

Sorry to hear that Daniel.

If its any consolation i had exactly the same with ebike insurance (same company?). In the end i cancelled the direct debit and they sent me a letter about the fact i hadn't paid which had a phone number on. This was a few years ago though =(

Daniel -

Have you seen this...

http://www.saynoto0870.com/cgi-bin/foru ... 1147081199

If it were me, i'd try phoning every number on there (including the claims line!) to try to sort it out, then you can keep the 2?

Dan,

Really sorry for you mate.. sounds like a real bum deal.. Just had a little run around the net and there are so many people who've had the same grief with them. Not good.

Dont rush into selling the MR2, i understand that at the moment it seems like its all coming to an end as you've had to make a last minute insurance change through a broker and its not been cheap but give it some time and lots of research, alot of guys on here can help too.. things could hopefully get better. Hope it all gets sorted

Have you tried confused.com and do you have any recourse to their agency for recommending this off-shore insurer. Presumably they get a cut of the premium or advertising fees or some sort of fee so maybe that makes them an agency and therefore responsible. Threaten them with watchdog.

Watchdog? May be worth contacting them. Insurance ombudsman? OFT? Trading Standards?

Not receiving your proof of NCB isn't a valid excuse as insurers exchange info between each other. They tell you this in recorded messages whilst keeping you hanging on the phone. If they exchange info for exposing fraudulent claims, they could and can easily exchange a simple NCB confirmation.

Don't give up Dan.

Keith Michaels (ask for Gary Moulson). Have you tried the Co-op insurance? How about Liv-Vic?
