This is a project i embarked on some 11 years ago with very little car building experiance but i could stick metal together and was quite creative so with the instructions from what the customer wanted and had seen elsewhere this is what was we came up with :driving:




started off like this

these are only scanned and i think you can see where this is going ,i will post some more tommorrow but don't get too excited as i never saw it finished as the guy wanted to finish it himself and ship it back to the states, i left my job soon after and never heard anymore:(

Now I know why hacking the various 3 series you have is no drama for you! So after 11 years of grinding, welding and generally dicking around with cars, you still want more of the same? :)

Very well done sir!:cheers2: I think some folks might not appreciate just how much work/time was involved there! Did you use two of the existing chassis rails to weld your cage too? How long did this little project take?

Thanks Russ , The existing chassis rails where usd but we filled them in to create a box section rail rather than the standard channel arrangement.
i cannot recall how long it took to get to this stage :)
