If you're still using that N95, connect the phone to your PC/laptop using a USB lead. This will trigger something called PC suite on the phone. Ignore that application.
Instead go to your start menu on the PC and go to my computer.
Find the piece of music you want to copy onto the phone and select copy.
Then locate the phone on your list of drives.
Select the memory card on the phone if it gives you that option.
Back onto the phone once this is complete and select profile by pressing the on off button on the top of the phone.
Highlight 'general' and select personalise.
Select ring tones and then select your groovy tune as the ring tone.

If you're not using an N95 any more then I'll send you an invoice for wasted time in the post :)

You've certainly missed your true vocation. Technical Author should be the next thing to try.

thankyou for the reply but does this enable me to use a 20 second segment near the end of the song rather than using the whole song from the begining
if you see what i mean.;)

Nope, sorry it doesn't. You'd need to upload the file (music in this case) as you'd want to use it. If you want to email me the song and artist name, I'll record the last twenty seconds and email it back to you. Once you have the bit you need/want, follow the procedures above.

Thanks Dan

You're probably far more proficient at this sort of thing than I am, so you've daved me some embarrassment there!
