RICA state it'll run 304 if everything is in top form, but most of the guys reckon about 270-280 realistically.
I take it the gauge is going right up to the end of the white section?
Don't forget first and second are electronically limited (2nd less so), don't get full fat until 3rd!
And yes, they do respond well to bigger downpipes and decats, the curse of boost has arrived!!

Well done Stu! Please let us know what the real world fuel figures are like? I`ve still not sorted a replacement for the mazda. I have been looking at some of the ex-police T5`s on autotrader, there is several of the later 300bhp car`s at bargain bucket prices, But could i afford to run one as a daily hack? Are you going to bring yours along to the sept meet?:D
Yes, it will be at the meet Russ.
How many miles do you do and what style of driving does it take (urban, rural, WOT etc)
Having run a few now, I would say that

As i do somewhere around 25k miles a year, (mainly dragging in squashed clio`s) I need a comfy seat, pleanty of toys and some grunt!:) If i could manage high 20`s possibly low 30`s mpg then a T5 might be viable? I did also have a bady T4 as a family hack for several years (too small for towing) So my looking at the big vol`s is`nt quite so random.
Basicaly i wana have a poke round/size up your car stu without being hasseled by a seller!:D

How's that?:seeya:
My God! A nice car (good find Bert) but what an awful reg plate. No guidance on mileage from the advert but with a price like that you would expect somewhere north of 160k. Not necessarily a problem if it's been properly maintained.
After a few days, ownership has shown me a few familiar Volvo turbo traits. Relatively good grunt as you'd expect, great build quality and so refined. It doesn't handle, it doesn't blow anyone's doors off in outright terms but then it's a near two tonne 15 year old 140k tank. I reckon, on early estimates, that it will costs around

That LPG kit would pay for the new bearings, ball joints and maybe even some part used slicks though GerryGerry H wrote: He may sell the LPG kit separately Stu?
